NAME CHANGE FOR STANDARD NOTARY AND REMOTE ONLINE NOTARY Any notary public who lawfully changes his or her name shall, within 60 days after such change, must submit a request to amended his or her notary commission through their current Bonding Agency. The Amended Name Change form must be submitted along with his or her original notary commission certificate and fees. The Secretary of State shall issue an amended commission to the notary public in the new name. After submitting the required notice of change form and rider to the Secretary of State, the notary public may continue to perform notarial acts in his or her former name for 60 days. If you are appointed as Standard Notary and Remote Online Notary, you should complete the following steps: Step 1.: Submit your Standard Notary Application to us for processing. Step 2.: After the first step is completed and you have received all your new notary commission certificate and stamp, now, you are ready to submit your RON Notary Name Change for processing.
